Welcome to FileFIXR. By using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

FileFIXR is a client-side file renaming tool that processes files entirely within your browser. No files are uploaded to our servers. All processing happens locally on your device.

2. Account Terms

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• One person or legal entity may maintain no more than one free account

3. Usage Limits & Fair Use Policy

3.1 Tier Limits

File processing limits are enforced based on your subscription tier:

• Free Tier: Up to 50 files per batch, 100MB per file
• Pro Tier: Up to 500 files per batch, 250MB per file
• Enterprise Tier: Up to 2,000 files per batch, 1GB per file

3.2 Prohibition on Circumvention

You agree not to circumvent technical limitations through:

• Browser developer tools or console commands
• Browser extensions or modifications
• Automated scripts, bots, or macros
• Reverse engineering or code manipulation
• Any other technical means to bypass tier restrictions

Violation of this policy may result in account suspension or termination at our discretion.

3.3 Rate Limiting

We implement rate limiting to ensure service availability for all users. Excessive use may result in temporary restrictions.

4. Payment Terms

• All paid plans require a one-time payment processed through Stripe
• Payments are non-refundable except as required by law
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
• Existing users will maintain their current pricing until their next renewal

5. Privacy & Data Processing

Files: All file processing occurs locally in your browser. Files are never uploaded to our servers, stored, or transmitted over the network.

Account Data: We collect minimal account information (email address) for authentication purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Analytics: We collect anonymized usage data to improve our service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use FileFIXR to:

• Process files containing illegal content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service

7. Intellectual Property

FileFIXR, its code, design, and branding are the intellectual property of FileFIXR and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer our service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

FileFIXR is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Data Loss: While we strive for reliability, you are responsible for maintaining backups of your original files. We are not liable for any data loss.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FileFIXR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination:

• Your access to paid features will be revoked
• No refunds will be provided except as required by law
• You may request deletion of your account data

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
